STUDENT ACHIEVEMENTS

I coach some very musically talented and focussed students who are fulfilling their ambitions. Here are a few of their experiences:

RAQUEL JONES

London based mezzo soprano who has performed the role of Inez in Hairspray in London's West End. She recently finished playing Chiffon in The Little Shop of Horrors for Birmingham Repertory Theatre.

TANYA SHIELDS

Irish soprano currently playing in Spring Awakening for The English Theatre in Frankfurt after winning a prestigious place at The London School of Musical Theatre.

Pop / rock vocalist who won a place at Bristol Institute of Music (B.I.M.M.)currently writing and recording new material and performing whenever she can. Aisha also got through to the Bootcamp stage of X Factor.

As electronica/dance artist Rebecca Closure has just signed with label Custom House Records and is touring worldwide.

KIRSTIE BRIDLE and LEANNE GRICE

As vocalists with pop band Touche they won the regional final of Open Mic 2009. Individually they both won places at the prestigious Brighton Institute of Modern Music (B.I.M.M.)

KIERON GORE

Singer/songwriter and lead singer and founder of touring pop / rock band Audiopeel.

SUNNY BUDWALL

Birmingham based pop tenor currently working with Major Music on original material and performing nationally.

RICHARD JONES

Mid range tenor vocalist, pianist and songwriter working with function band Souldup and various jazz bands and currently gigging as frontman with his own 1980s themed function band.

RACQUEL SINCLAIR

Soul and R'n'B vocalist performing under the stage name of Carmen Leigh. She is sponsored by clothing lines Apple Bottoms and Baby Phat and is writing new material and performing internationally.

HOLAH

Pop group whom Hannah coached at Mayfair Studios in Primrose Hill, London for Grammy award winning producer John Hudson who has also produced Tina Turner, Coldplay, The Sugababes, Radiohead and many other major acts.

Due to her expertise in her field Hannah is currently a judge for nationwide singing competition Live and Unsigned 2011.

Her zest and passion for music and teaching are so contagious that singers can't help but be enthused and inspired by her teaching methods. Hannah believes that singing can create confidence in other areas of a person's life and is a very therapeutic and healing activity.

Hannah loves discovering new individual voices and places great emphasis on finding and developing a singer’s unique signature sound.

Her students are encouraged to perform in public whenever possible and Hannah often seeks out these opportunities for them.

In 2011 Hannah will be setting up a chamber choir for her students to perform contemporary and classical repertoire. There are plans for public concerts and opportunities for members to sing solo pieces.
